Island Treasures, original gifts from paradise is a small, family owned company located in San Jose, California. Our mission is to offer unique gift items which are made in Hawaii. The impetus for starting our small venture in 1995 was based on a personal experience the owners had while visiting Hawaii that year.
We spent much of a one week vacation in Hawaii that year roaming around looking for locally made gifts to bring back for family and friends. On the final evening of the visit, we sat in lawn chairs on the beach of the hotel and lamented how much time we had to use shopping just because we wanted locally made items.......the seed of an idea was planted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We started with one item in 1995 and continue to attempt to add new and innovative ideas annually. Many of our items are produced by local artisans and cottage craftspeople in Hawaii, so you can be assured you are supporting the local economy rather than some large, impersonal conglomerate.
